I kind of just had this idea out of nowhere. I thought it was interesting so here I am sharing it!
On an alternate timeline, everything was the same, but Nurp never really got to live life to the fullest. He didn't live a good life. Eventually, like most other Mixels, he and the other Orbitons grew old, and some of their Orbiton cousins began taking their place in holding Orbitopia.
Nurp was on the verge of his death, but didn't want life to go so soon. Luckily, some of their cousins had just built something new: THE ORBITIME MACHINE! Nurp took the machine while they weren't looking and ZOOMED to the past, on the timeline we know, and destroyed the time machine so he couldn't go back.
The young Nurp was sleeping, when he was awoken by the light coming in from the open door. It was his old self...over time, Nurp had lost his eyes to a major Nixel attack and got a new eye as a replacement (thanks to the wonderful Weldos and their LEGO brick talents). Young Nurp was shocked to see himself like that. The old Nurp walked up to his young self and held out a cubit.
The green cubit transformed into a small moon that orbited around the young and old incarnations of Nurp. They mixed, and the old Nurp promised he would make his young self's life go on smoothly. And to prevent confusion, the old Nurp gave himself a new name: Naut.
The next day, Naut explained everything to Niksput and Rokit. They soon became very good friends. If Naut is to un-mix from Nurp, he might die right then, right there. And so, the Nurp-Naut fusion was created, never to un-mix until Nurp's life is lived to the fullest for the next 90...100...however long Mixels live...years. The End.
