Mixels Wiki

Me and others were having a discussion on chat, and we're all starting to doubt whether CN really cares about Mixels or not.

There's so much to talk about - ways they messed up, and ways they can improve.

First off, Cartoon Network never really advertised it. I mean, I guess they advertised the Calling All Mixels app a couple times, but not much anymore. They aired it after Teen Titans Go! during the All New Thursdays block...every Thursday and never mentioned the new shorts, they skipped past it to...whatever was there before the schedule changed. They haven't played a Mixels commercial for months. I'm not kidding.

Well, nix commercials, the episodes themselves, they haven't played them since Ninjago Day, and past that, not since early September. They would only air an episode a few times after it premieres, then air a new one, then do the same, and kept doing that until Mixed Up Special, where it aired a few times in early September and then stopped completely. They weren't airing it at all after that.

And then here's one other problem: merchandise. I'm not talking about the LEGO sets, I mean REAL merchandise. Like DVDs or plushies and/or figures. Steven Universe and Clarence are getting DVDs. And Clarence came two months after Mixels! I don't see the problem with making a Mixels DVD for the entire first season. There's like, 40 minutes of content, that could fit on a DVD. Heck, they could add like 20 special features at that rate!

They took Mixels off of DirecTV and Verizon FiOS' Cartoon Network on Demand (which are different from WATCH Cartoon Network). And speaking of WATCH Cartoon Network...shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show require you to log in to your provider to watch them, and Mixels is free online for anyone. Similar for iTunes, AT and RS require you to pay separately for each episode, Mixels? You can buy $2.99 FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON.

I was hoping for something to entertain us during our hiatus. For example, Gravity Falls had like 17 shorts inbetween its first and second season, and they likely didn't care how much time that took off from Season 2!

How about the bright side, though?

They cared about the show during its first series (Coconapple --> Rockball), and aired more commercials during then. Also, in Series 2, they were actually airing Mixels on Boomerang! Cross-channel promotion! It wasn't much, because their airing pattern (mentioned earlier) was the same as CN and they stopped at "Elevator".

What do you think? Comment down below your opinion! Let Cartoon Network know that you all love Mixels! Signing out, A Clockwork Orange From the Future. 01:48, January 14, 2015 (UTC)
