  • Just informing you that the 2016 LEGO images have been spotted in store catalogs by some people. They will not post these images, as it is illegal, but be ready for those who do. When/if the images are released, we ask you do not add them if they are tagged with a confidential watermark as it is illegal.

    Thanks.

    • What? We allowed leaks for Series 4. And I say these will be allowed. We don't have an official connection with LEGO, anyway.

According to this and this, we should really need to remove the confidentially marked images from the wiki. Even though we're not part of the LEGO group or have a connection to them, we should have to respect their policies, like TheBrickFan says so.

We (including me, TBH; but mostly all of us) were being ignorant about that policy. I only knew about that months ago, but I am only being silent 'til now.

    • See, though, we're not a LUG. So we don't need to.

There's no word illegal there, I agree, but the thought was there.

It is vote worthy. Until we have a vote on the subject they aren't allowed.

You don't run this wiki. We all do.

He created it so it belongs to him and he could ban anyone he sees fit. I'm pretty sure he's in control here.

But ultimately if he chooses not to change something there's nothing anyone can do about it.

    • Back to the actual topic, if it isn't allowed it's probably pretty close to illegal.

Company policy and law are two separate things. Company policy doesn't determine what is and isn't legal.

    • I know we sort of came up with a compromise: if we DO get the leaks, we'll make fan renderings of them, like with LDD or fanart to use as the placeholders until they are officialy shown.

    • Just read through an article on company policy and I didn't see anything that says you can get arrested for breaking policy.

    • You know, I mentioned something like this a long time ago (the risk of these photos) but it was put to a halt. Regardless of what you read, it's probably safe to delete all the confidential images. Not forcing anyone though.
