WSKT/WMIX-TV, virtual and UHF digital channel 30, is an TBD station located in Mixopolis, Planet Mixel, United States. The station is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group and Operated from Ion Media after PMPTV went off air. WSKT/WMIX maintains offices and master control facilities located on Northwest 14th Street in Mixel Park, and its transmitter is located on Southwest 27th Street in Nix-N-Mix Ville.
WSKT was first signed on the air on June 1, 1962 as WDZL. It was originally owned by Mixopolis Broadcasting LLC. Operating as an independent station, it was later became a NET (now PBS) affiliate with Mixel Park's PBS station WMIX. it was Later joined forces to launch [Planet Mixel Public TV] in 1976
In December 1984, Planet Mixel Public TV joined with other stations in Planet Mixel including (WFNT|WSNN|WINE|W8GYB & WMXL)
in January 4th 2017, it was annouced of WSKT and WMIX would become Ion Television affiliate O&O from Ion Media Networks, after Ion Media sold 2 stations, PMPTV continued until January 16th 2017 [the day when PBS Kids 24/7 was launched]
on January 24th Jeltus City-based Jeltus Enterprises inc announced that it would purchased WSKT for $1 billion while Sinclair Broadcast Group would Purchase WMIX for $1 hundred The sale was Completed on that same day
