The Egg-Rock was a metal capsule which contained the Maximum Mixel shadow puppet hologram and the two Nixels that made it. It provided Snoof with the Mixamajig Key.

The capsule was called an Egg-Rock by multiple Mixels, after its shape. It was also dubbed a Mixelroid by Gurggle and Dribbal, and Flying Egg by LEGO.

Major, you've clearly left me no choice. Next time, I'll take matters into my own hands from the start!
King Nixel

Angered by the fact that Major Nixel's Nixelstorm plot kept failing, King Nixel takes over commanding operations and starts to prepare the capsule for launch.

A Quest for the Lost Mixamajig

Listen up, people! Look, the way I see it, we all found this egg, meteor, pod thingy, whatever it is. So, I am sure there will be plenty of happy wonderfulness to go around for all nine of us, if we all just work together.

In a hole in Muncholand

After selecting Snoof as their "lackey", Major Nixel sends two Nixels to do their assignment. They jump into the capsule, which is pulled up and out of an opening in the ground, and sent by slingshot through the skies of the Frozen Volcanoes. It sends off a cloud of smoke to signal Snoof and flies past the Swamplands into Muncholand, gathering up a group of Mixels along the way. It then crashes into a field of Mixmallows.

While there, the Mixels try to figure out what it is, and Dribbal calls it an 'egg-rock'. Eventually, while they argue over who owns it, it begins to glow and opens up. It sends a holographic light into the sky, which the two Nixels use to cast the Maximum Mixel shadow puppet.

It is logical to assume that the capsule is still inactively lying at its resting place in Muncholand, as the Frosticons, Glorp Corp and Munchos abandon the crashsite almost immediately to find the Mixamajig.
